Jude, aka mr perfect, is dreaming of a family to call his own!

Jude arrived as a stray in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and ended up in a shelter, where he found himself on list to be put to sleep. He is friendly to all....... the volunteers at the shelter loved this special dog and he quickly become a favorite with the employees that cared for him. He loved his time in the exercise yard and has just started training on the treadmill..............an activity that he looks forward to. He is a very strong dog but also very smart and most anxious to please. A little bit of training goes a long way with this special boy. He already has mastered SIT and is a retrieving wonder-dog. Jude is very eager to please, and responds VERY well to training!
Jude is not only one of the most BEAUTIFUL dogs I have met, but he is such a mush ball, I have actually given him the nick name "mush man." Though Jude is a big boy (weighing almost 80 lbs) he is a gentle giant. This boy will let you take anything out of his mouth!
Jude walks perfectly on leash, which is amazing for such a big guy! Even when he gets excited and wants to run, he starts, and then stops right before the leash gets right! Jude is a total goof ball of love, that just wants to smother you in love and kissed, and take a nap with his head on your lap. Jude is an amazing boy who is looking for a place to call his forever home!!

Taxo is looking for someone to love!

First- let me say, Taxo is PERFECT!!! I can't say enough for Taxo and if I did, I would write a 100 page essay on how wonderful he is. Taxo is someone very special. Someone so special that on our walk and our very long hang out session (I just couldn't get enough of him), many people commented how adorable Taxo is and how wonderful he is, especially when he was sprawled out on the sidewalk while I cuddled him. Taxo is a 55 pound white and brown neutered male. He is very loving, very affectionate, and a very big lapdog. He loves to cuddle and have his belly rubbed - which he will easily let you know when he rolls over on his back and just waits for you to pet him. As said, Taxo scored a wonderful No Concern on his behavior evaluation while hew as at the shelter - this this the very best score you can get on the behavior evaluation. This was Taxo's 2nd time around in the shelter. When he first went to the shelter, Taxo was 65 pounds and was surrender by an owner who could not provide care for him. His first owner said that Taxo was very friendly, loving, playful and highly affectionate. He also said that Taxo loves everyone big and small. Then, Taxo was adopted and owned for 3 months and this owner said he had some personal time issues so he also could not provide for little Taxo. Taxo kept up his wonderfulness. This owner said Taxo was obedient, loves everyone, loves dogs, is very affectionate and deserves a home who has time for him. Taxo needs your help. He needs a STABLE home and live the rest of his young life in a home that can provide him the love, training, exercise, and security he needs to flourish.
Taxo is a complete mush, who loves to roll on his back to get belly rubs. He will gently lean into you, just to make human contact. Taxo is a total love muffin looking for his FOREVER home!!

Charming Chester is wishing for a place to rest his head!

"This gorgeous 2 year old angel makes us giddy with delight when we are with him. And the world responds in turn—people and other dogs love him as much as he loves them. He’s also a closet genius, or at least a closet star: While he pulls out of the shelter just enough to make you think, “Oh no, here we go again,” the second—and we mean the second—his four paws hit pavement and he knows he is out of that joint he skids to a halt, lines up to his walker’s knee, and never budges no matter our gait. Plus he does that thing that always makes us so delighted:

Looks up occasionally to make sure he’s doing what we are asking him to. That and so much more, he can rest assured, as he walked on a slack leash to the park. Then, he came and hung out with us while we tended to some other stuff in the shelter, oblivious to the barking and various dramas. “What a big sweetie!”

was not an uncommon refrain to be heard from people who met him in the shelter, and they know from whence they speak. This striking looking, brown-and-white 55 pounder did beautifully on his SAFER, showing his large heart with dogs, humans, and toys, but got a 3 on food. We are very sure that is because his days as a stray have left him about 5 pounds underweight. Now that he has been in the shelter a couple of days and has been eating regularly, he takes treats so gently from hands that they might be precious jewels. Duke is an awesome 1.5-2 yr old boy who is looking for a forever home! Duke was surrendered by his owner to a high kill shelter, due to them not being to afford feeding him because they lost their job, where he inevitably ended up on the euthanasia list. Duke weighs around 72lbs , and has a huge personality to match!Though Duke is a big boy, he is also a big baby who just wants to be with you. He is a big goof ball who loves to explore new things. Amazing Ariana is looking for her furever home!

Arianna is a beautiful 3 year old female with a black/brown brindle coat, a white chest, and a little white stripe on her nose. She scored a wonderful 'Mild' on her behavior evaluation, which is equivalent to an 'A+'! Arianna was found in the Bronx wandering around by her lonesome. The person who found her kept her for a week and said that she is housebroken, loves people of all sizes, including men, women and children, and likes dogs. Arianna is very friendly and looks forward to meeting everyone near her. A volunteer who got to know this beautiful girl stated that Arianna is a good listener and is very sweet - giving the volunteer many many kisses. Arianna is ready for a forever home today - a home that will provide her all the love, warmth, security, training and exercise she needs. She's a smart girl and is ready to learn.

Wallace is in DESPERATE need of a new home!!

Wonderful Wallace found a home, after having an awful life. He was being spoiled and loved, but was having a hard time adjusting to his new environment. We believe Wallace was used as a yard dog in a garage or tied up outside his entire life.

Delightful Dolly Needs A Home!!

This lovely little girl, Dolly - she recently delivered her fourth litter of pups--is such a wonderful girl. Surrendered by her owner after he lost his job, Dolly was a shelter favorite in NYC. She seems to be fine with other dogs but better with small dogs, fantastic on the leash, and housetrained ilke a champ. This mellow girl would be so much happier in a home where she will get the love she so desperately needs! Who is Bully Breed Rescue?

Bully Breed Rescue is a small rescue dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs that are the pit bull class of dogs, including American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Bulldogs, and pit bull mixes. Our goal is to help give these precious misunderstood dogs a second chance at the wonderful life that they deserve by placing them in responsible forever homes. All of our dogs have been temperament tested and we try to provide honest and complete information on each dog. We do not have a shelter - all of our dogs are in foster homes, though we sometimes courtesy post dogs that are still in shelters.
